Service & Maintenance
Fire extinguisher servicing in Tanzania
Inspection and servicing support that keeps portable fire extinguishers operational and service-ready.
Why It Matters
An extinguisher only counts if it works.
Portable extinguishers stand unused for years and are then expected to work instantly. Servicing verifies that each unit is present, accessible, in serviceable condition and ready to operate when it is needed.
Servicing Support
What STARLION servicing covers.
-
01
Inspection
Checking that units are present, accessible and in serviceable condition.
-
02
Equipment Condition
Reviewing pressure indication, seals, hoses, pins and general unit condition.
-
03
Service Identification
Identifying serviced units and maintaining service records where the engagement requires them.
-
04
Escalation
Flagging units that need refilling, repair or replacement rather than routine servicing.
Servicing keeps. Refilling recharges.
Servicing maintains the unit; refilling replaces the agent — after discharge, or when servicing identifies the need. If an inspection finds a unit that needs recharging, we say so and handle it as a refilling service.

Servicing questions.
Is servicing the same as refilling?
No. Servicing is inspection and upkeep of a unit's condition; refilling recharges the extinguishing agent — typically after discharge or when servicing identifies the need. STARLION provides both, and servicing often determines whether refilling is required.
Can STARLION inspect existing extinguishers?
Yes. We inspect existing extinguisher stock regardless of where it was originally supplied, and report the condition and any recommended actions.
How often should extinguishers be serviced?
Servicing frequency depends on the applicable requirements for the facility, the equipment type and condition, the service history and the environment the units operate in. STARLION confirms an appropriate servicing arrangement per facility rather than quoting one universal interval.
